When Lebanon is actually part of the Ottoman Empire – before it was even a country – its religious organizations was in fact allowed to oversee the equivalent of nearest and dearest legislation. French colonizers upheld this system, now Lebanon enjoys fifteen some other requirements – to have Sunni, Shia, Druze, Catholic, Orthodox, Evangelical groups while others – ruling divorce or separation, infant custody, and economic liberties off partners during and after relationship.
